Abu Dhabi will get its first sustainable automotive plant

With the help of international partners, Sinaha Platform has agreed to construct Abu Dhabi's first plant for the production of recyclable-material cars. The action aims to make Abu Dhabi a well-known car centre for environmentally friendly manufacture.

The automotive sector in the nation has reached a critical turning point thanks to this project, which also advances Operation 300Bn and the Abu Dhabi Industrial Strategy. In addition to encouraging environmental sustainability and implementing technologies that improve fuel economy by lowering weight and material consumption, the cars manufactured in this plant will have recyclable and environmentally friendly exterior structures.

The facility would produce high-quality, reasonably priced automobiles with cutting-edge four-wheel drive systems for the worldwide market in addition to meeting local demand, the announcement said.

Kardous Mohammad bin Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri, the deputy CEO of Sinaha, and Kirill Kuzin, the director-general of APAL International, signed the contract for the facility recently in Abu Dhabi at the "Make it in the Emirates Forum." The agreement is also compatible with the UAE's hosting of the COP28, the Conference of the Parties' 28th session, which will take place in November.

The platform's objective, according to Sinaha Chairman Mohammed bin Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri, is to increase quality investment possibilities in order to establish a more sustainable, efficient, and competitive industrial sector that supports the national economy and global climate action initiatives. "Through the Sinaha platform, we support all national efforts and strategies with all partners to support the national industrial sector and improve industrial capacity. Our goods proudly bear the 'Made in the Emirates' label and are aimed at local, regional, and global markets."

The new car type, which is made from local raw materials, has a highly modern and efficient damping protection system that fulfils all required regulations. Furthermore, the vehicle will have two engines: an economy petrol engine and an all-electric engine, according to the announcement.
